Ortak Kasa ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is a shared expense and group budgeting application that helps users track, split, and settle shared expenses with friends, roommates, and travel companions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using Ortak Kasa, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you sign in with Google, Apple, or as a guest, we collect:

• Name (display name)
• Email address
• Profile photo (if provided by your sign-in provider)
• A unique account identifier

1.2 Group and Expense Data

• Groups you create or join, and their members
• Expenses you add: amount, category, description, date, and who paid/participated
• Photos of receipts you choose to upload for an expense
• Debt and settlement calculations derived from the above

1.3 Payment Information (Optional)

If you choose to add payment details (e.g. IBAN, Papara, FAST, or BKM Express identifiers) so that other group members can pay you back, this information is stored securely and is only accessible to members of your shared groups. You may remove this information at any time in the app's settings.

1.4 Device and Usage Data

We automatically collect limited technical data to keep the app reliable and secure:

• Crash and error reports (via Firebase Crashlytics)
• Basic, non-personalized app usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics)
• Device type, operating system version, and app version

1.5 Advertising

The free version of the app displays ads served by Google AdMob. We use non-personalized advertising where supported, meaning ads are not based on a profile built from your personal browsing or app activity. Google AdMob may still collect limited technical identifiers (such as an advertising ID) as necessary to serve and measure ads. 2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To let you create groups, add expenses, and calculate who owes whom
• To send you notifications relevant to your groups (e.g. new expenses, reminders, payment requests)
• To diagnose crashes and improve app stability
• To display advertising that helps keep the app free
• To comply with legal obligations where applicable

3. Who Can See Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

Ortak Kasa relies on the following third-party services to operate:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore Database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Crashlytics, Analytics) — data hosting and app infrastructure
• Google AdMob — advertising
• Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple — authentication

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and may act as data processors on our behalf.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and group data for as long as your account is active. If you leave or are removed from a group, your historical expense records remain (so the group's past balances stay accurate), but you no longer appear in the group's active member list.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and correction: You can view and edit your profile and expense data directly in the app.
• Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data at any time from Settings → Delete Account.
• Payment info removal: You can remove your saved payment details at any time.
• Notifications: You can control push notification permissions from your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Ortak Kasa is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted connections (TLS) and Firebase's security rules, to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
